My second stop on my trip around the world was at India. I'd never been there before so I had no idea what to expect. I'd only heard stories, good ones about all the neat new things to try there and sometimes bad ones about all the poverty and bugs everywhere, so I was excited yet scared at the same time. After leaving the airport you can really start to feel the heat as soon as you step out from the air-conditioned facility and "into the real world". We got into a taxi and made our way to New Delhi, the capital of India! On our way we saw very interesting things like cows walking around in the middle of the road like in the picture below!

When we got into the city, we drove past by places like the Taj Mahal, and the Hindu Lotus temple as seen below, but we didn't stop because I don't believe in the stuff that they teach there, but it was interesting to see those really old globally known buildings!

Since we'd seen New Delhi, we decided to go to Mumbai which is the largest city in India! This time we didn't ride in a cab the whole time and took a ride in a Rickshaw! We rode in the one in the picture below!

It was really fun but I felt really bad for the guy pulling us all the way across town in that scorching heat. While we were going into the city, and were passing by the outshirts of the city, we got a glimpse of all the hardships that people face in the city slums. This is a picture that I took while we waited for our "driver" to catch his breath from the big hill we just went over.

It's always so sad to see things like this especially when we know that we're better off than they are. We then continued on our journey and while we were going up a hill on the side of one of the cliffs, I got a really cool picture that really puts everything into perspective.

Isn't it sad how close everyone has to live so close together? I guess this is what people call a "close community"! Although everything is so crowded, I guess it's a price to pay for living in India's largest city!
When we got to Mumbai we wnt to our Hotel first, and it was so amazing that I just had to take a picture and show you guys what I stayed in!

This hotel was huge! I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I really liked it there in India although it was really hot and crowded. We spent a long time resting there after our vast journey getting there. The next day we went site seeing some more, but now it's time to get back on the plane and continue on with my "Journey around the World"!
